Exercise Referral

I am an Exercise Referral specialist, this allows me to work with anyone who suffers from a medical condition or health issue. Anyone who suffers with a medical condition might justifiably be worried about the future, and be interested to hear what they can do to better their prognosis for the future - the answer is Exercise Referral.

Exercise Referral clients will be supported by myself to exercise safely and comfortably, whilst at the same time making health gains right throughout the programme. Our starting point (session 1) will be working at the presenting level - in other words, what you are capable of doing at the moment. Throughout the session I will assess your comfort levels and look at ways that the next session can be advanced without causing you any problems. Progressions will be small and numerous, rather than large and infrequent, and over several weeks I can assure you that these small progressions all add up!!

Training goals and recommendations for exercise are all condition-specific - I have frameworks for exercise for every condition in my resource library, and I will always make sure you don't do anything that causes pain or discomfort. I have achieved some incredible results already with Exercise Referral clients and I would certainly encourage anyone to come and give it a go, rather than give up and let a condition 'beat you'.

Together we can lower pain levels, reduce fatigue, increase functionality, ease day-to-day living, improve sleep patterns, lower the need for some medications, allow you to be able to do more e.g. hobbies and playing with children/grandchildren, and maybe even stave off the need for surgery in some conditions e.g. arthritis. Exercise Referral empowers you to take control of your condition and manage many of your symptoms through exercise and healthy living.
