Individual Personal Training

The most common form of personal training is 1:1. Individual training allows me to work solely with you to develop a programme of exercise that is uniquely designed to fit around you - taking in exercises you like, programme structures you find enjoyable, and the opportunity to progress throughout your programme at a speed and intensity to suit you.

Individual personal training can be considered for a variety of fitness reasons:

- Weight-loss

- Toning

- Muscular strengthening/building

- Core stability/development

- Improving sports performance (e.g. long-distance running)

- Cardiovascular and Pulmonary health

- Exercise Referral and Rehabilitation

- Postural imbalance/Back pain

- Long-term health gains (e.g. to enable you to play with grandchildren in future)

- plus any others too - every training goal is considered

Partnership PT

Ideal if you find you want to train with a friend, spouse/partner, colleague, or family member. I provide partnership PT and will coach you and a partner within the same session. Here is the best bit - as I am splitting my time between you both, I will also be splitting the cost, so if two of you wish to train with me, you do so at half price!!

Partnership PT is much easier, and much more enjoyable for both parties if your training goals are similar - otherwise I will have to leave one of you all of the time to access the other in a different part of the gym floor. However, this is not an essential requirement - as we can easily all work in the same area and perform different exercises to suit each of your goals

Partnership PT is not available to Exercise Referral clients UNLESS they have training goals so similar that they are always working in the same vicinity as me e.g. two different treadmills next to each other or the same floorspace area, as the risks associated with exercising with a medical condition cannot be easily managed from afar.

Small Group PT (3-5 people)

If you have a group of friends and wish to have a private exercise workout, then my small group PT option is just for you. As I will be splitting my time between several of you, the cost for each of you also comes right down, especially as the numbers increase. Classes cost £30 in total for an hour. The hourly cost of the session will be split between the number of people in the group. If the cost of the session cannot be equally split then the group is to decide who pays what.

If circumstances allow it, these sessions may also be able to be run in a studio, with music and air conditioning. Small group PT can be based on anything - circuits, ab classes, weight loss classes, or anything that suits the groups interests and training goals.

Group PT (5-20 people)

Ideal for team-building, or corporate ventures, or even for larger groups of friends! This is a great way to train cheaply as the price comes right down as the numbers go up! Classes cost £30 in total for an hour and, as above, if the cost cannot be split equally between participants then it is up to the class how the cost is to be split. All trainers must attend the same session. Group PT is available for Exercise Referral clients but to a maximum of 8-15 participants depending on the medical condition involved, and how easily symptoms can be managed in a group setting.

For groups this size, a venue will need to be sought by myself and agreed upon. Group PT will be circuit-based and cover a mixture of cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance, core development and flexibility based. Specialist classes that focus on just one of these areas are also available on request.
